Hey loves, I was thinking, we always plan our good resolutions in the end of the year, kind of like “Ok, it’s the end of the year and the day after in the new one, things are gonna look different and I will start to achieve my goals then”. Ok, I understand you, you are talking to a person who loves to sleep and relax a lot. 😀 But, unfortunately I can not allow myself to be a couchpotatoe, no matter how much I would like to be one sometimes. So, I believe that every day can be a new beginning for something great! So I collected 5 resolutions I have for myself and which I would like to pursue BEFORE the end of 2016. Sounds stressful? No, hahaha. Seriously you can do it, at any time. Before I start, I want to say, that all the five resolutions are on a same level of importance for me, despite the numbers. If 1 and 2 are more on a physical base, 3 until 5 are more about my mental health. OK! Let’s begin!! 🙂
1. Eat healthier | My resolutions BEFORE the end of the year
Seriously guys, I have the feeling most of us forget that we only have one body and it carries us probably the next 100 years (I guess in 50 years they will find something, so we all can live until 150 or 200 or foreverrrrr). I am not trying to be smart or anything on you now, since I reaaaalllyyyy love food, especially the fatty and unhealthy one haha, but this is a resolution for myself and I really want to change my lifestyle. So I realized that I do not feel good after my food massacres, wether emotionally nor physically.
2. Be fitter and have a sport routine | My resolutions BEFORE the end of the year
Yeah, I know, I know. Eat healthy, do sports, always the same boring stuff we often say to ourselves and don’t do in the end. Well this is very easy to change. I danced ballet professionally when I was younger and my body got used to being sporty and having a steady routine. When I stopped dancing, I started to do fitness, but it wasn’t a set routine anymore. Now, it has been a while since I worked out on a weekly basis. I don’t believe it is bad, but I am sure that I would feel more balanced again and less stressed if I build in a fitness routine. You can do it at home or go to the fitness studio, BUT I think something like a course or a team sport is way more effective. For example, I want to try out Bikram Yoga, it is a kind of yoga you do in a room with 40 degrees. It helps you in many ways, you do sports, sweat out toxins and clear your skin. But you could also do something like football or dancing, etc. etc.
3. Manage my time – Preventing stress, chaos and missed deadlines | My resolutions BEFORE the end of the year
I wrote a blogpost before, on what every college or university girl needs for the beginning of the semester. For this point a calendar should be your best friend. You can find the blogpost here. I sometimes have to remind myself to write in my calendar, because I either use my phone or some papers, which I probably have lost by now. 😀 So this is something I definitely have to keep on doing for myself. I want to schedule my dates better and prevent myself from stressing. This also adds waking up on time. (How to be an early bird). Once you live more healthy, you will have an easier sleep, which makes your morning more pleasant. Recently I have problems on falling asleep, because I have so many thoughts coming up in the night. When I will do sports on a regular basis my body will feel faster tired and my sleep will surely be deeper than now.
4. Stop criticizing myself – Or how worries and negativity can make you sick | My resolutions BEFORE the end of the year
Ok, let me make a confession. I have very high expectations on myself and I am very goal oriented. I guess I am my worst and most cruel critic. And this sometimes gets out of control. When you have russian parents, you will probably relate. 😀 You have to be the best and if you are the best, it is not enough haha. I mean don’t get me wrong, I like the person who I am know, despite my flaws etc., but sometimes it is really hard for me to “like” my results in the end. This is a resolution I am working on at the moment. I think when you combine all these five points and keep yourself busy with good things, then you will have it easier. With a sport routine and feeling better in general, I want to stop criticize and make myself crazy.
5. Stop expecting from others – Preventing bad energy | My resolutions BEFORE the end of the year
For this point, I would like to quote an amazing writer and philosopher, Emily Maroutian. She literally gives you the right medicine in words for staying away from bad energy and negative people.
“Energy is the currency of the universe. When you “pay” attention to something, you buy that experience. So when you allow your consciousness to focus on someone or something that annoys you, you feed it your energy, and it reciprocates with the experience of being annoyed. Be selective in your focus because your attention feeds the energy of it and keeps it alive, not just within you, but in the collective consciousness as well.”
Do I have to say more? – I guess not. This is genius.
Resolution of my resolutions, I believe it is all about a good routine. Once you have got every thing in handle, there is not much space for chaos and stressful moments. This list could continue or not (caught myself criticizing myself again hahaha). I would be curious what kind of resolutions you have, if you like comment down below. 😉 Have a great week loves! BTW have you seen my new doggie? It’s a pomeranian, you can check on my insta @di.anajune and follow the mister himself @mischajune.
