I got invited to visit the Netherlands and went for a city trip to Eindhoven. Seriously I didn’t imagine that I will fall in love with this cute little romantic town with idyllic houses and streets. Generally what I love about the Netherlands that many people go by bicycle and there is enough space not to ride on the street with the cars. I am more used to be in big cities, which is why it felt really refreshing to be in a smaller town once in a while. On this day I met many other bloggers from all around Europe, mostly from England. From the first moment we got along very well and I am happy to say I made some new friends. We got a nice tour through Eindhoven, where we visited some designers, shops and got to do a funny workshop where we created our own pattern design. Also I really loved that we were able to discover some places by bike. If you will travel to Eindhoven I can recommend you some lovely places to shop and eat. For instance, we were shown a really rustical and cute shop called ‘Vielgut’. They have brands like Lee, Samsøe & Samsøe, Brixton and more. Also you can find some nice clothing at ALIX THE LABEL.
Now let us get to the food part. We enjoyed a nice lunch at Ketelhuis. It was cold outside, but the fireplace was close and we got some big blankets to warm ourselves. I decided to go for a salad with goat cheese. It was delicious, but also very light, so if you are very hungry I recommend going for the sandwich.
Also we went for ice cream at Intelligentia ICE. There they had interesting flavors, like Jelly Beans or Rose-Flavor Ice cream. A very sweet and cozy place. You should check it out.
For dinner we went to Valenzia. A restaurant with Mediterranean Cuisine. It gives you a very cozy feeling – like a big family feast. We ordered Tapas as starters and continued with large prawns and for dessert macaron with ice cream. Still dreaming of the prawns and oysters! They were so delicious.
Last but not least we relaxed at Agua Spa for a little foot massage. A happy ending on a long day of shopping.
Altogether I recommend you visiting Eindhoven, especially if you want to have a rest from the busy city life and dive into an idyllic town, which is filled with a lot of art and cultural experiences.
In my next post I will take you to Amsterdam with me and show you what places I visited there. On my Instagram @di.anajune you can see daily pictures of my traveling, shootings and more. xxx Diana June
